A brake bleeder is a handy one man device to change the hydraulic fluid in your car or motorbike. Using either pressure at the reservoir or vacuum at the bleed
Use a vacuum pump or “turkey baster" to remove the old fluid from the fluid reservoir. Fill the reservoir with fresh DOT-4 fluid. 4. Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap and screw the Pressure Bleeder cap adapter to the fluid reservoir (discon- nect the cap adapter from the Bleeder's pressure hose).

An easier way is to use a power bleeder - a pump that forces new fluid into the system through the brake fluid reservoir. This DIY will focus on the use of a Motive Products power bleeder. What you'll need: 1. Power Bleeder 2. DOT4 brake fluid (or whatever your car's manual specifies) - we like to have two
If manual brake bleeding is not an option for you, vacuum bleeding can be just as effective as pressure bleeding your brake system.

2 Apr 2010 In the past I have been vocal here about being a big fan of the motive power bleeder for bleeding brakes. It's a great little unit--you can pressurize The instructions on the motive say to pump to 15 psi which is halfway on the gauge. On my BMW with ABS, 15 psi barely produces a dribble so you need it.
Unpack and remove unit from shipping carton. 2. Inspect unit for any visible damage. 3. To install handle assembly to brake bleeder body; loosen thumb screw on handle receiver, insert handle, and tighten thumb screw to secure handle. 4. Install a 1/4 NPT quick coupler nipple to the air inlet on the pressure regulator. 5.
STEP 5: Now put the Motive Power Bleeder Cap on the brake reservoir. If you have the black label, the fit is VERY snug. The cap will not connect to your reservoir if you push and twist at the same time. Follow these instructions from Motive Website: Note: this cap can be difficult to connect to the reservoir,
