Reasons for manual vs DCT. But there were a few times with my E92 M3 that I felt the 6MT would have been quite fun during spirited driving. But mainly because I inheritantly knew 6MT would fit nicely with the If I could go to the BMW dealerships and have them run a poll for me, I would. Appreciate 0
The rapid-shifting, seven-speed automated manual is as quick as, but no quicker than, the base six-speed.

Having loved driving a 6MT in the E90 for the last 3 years, I am struggling with the concept of leaving it all up to the DCT. I find all However on a recent BMW driver training course the instructors were swearing by the DCT. The manual gearbox in the E92 M3 is one of the best if not the best I've driven.
DCT VS Manual Gearbox. Don't know specifically but from a reliability standpoint there are no recurring horror stories with BMW's DCT box. 2. Yes, DCT . The DCT doesn't. Clicky d click on the paddles. Feels more like a retard* * note, my previous M3 & 335i both were manual, currently driving DCT M3.

I found an absolutely perfect car with a manual gearbox, but I've convinced myself I want DCT even though I've never driven either. . I still love my manual M3 & wouldn't want the car without it, I will enjoy three pedals for as long as bmw offer themwhich won't be for much longer I would imagine. frown.
