Abstract: This tutorial is a general introduction to System-on-Chip (SoC) design. In the paper, we will discuss four areas: first, an overview of SoC including descriptions of the major approaches and motivating factors behind this development. Next, we will briefly summarise key design methodologies, processes and flows.

Welcome! • An exploration of SOC capabilities from the programmer's perspective. - How is mobile silicon interfacing to mobile apps? • Overview of acceleration APIs on today's mobile OS. - And how they can be used to optimize performance and power. • Focus on mobile innovation hotspots. - Vision and gesture
The Internet of Things promises billions of devices endowed with processing, memory and communication capabilities. These processing nodes will be, in effect, simple Systems on Chips (SoCs). They will need to be inexpensive, and able to operate under stringent performance, power and area constraints.
29 May 2017 We bet that most people who have a good knowledge of technology have heard the term SoC or System on a Chip. It wasn't much of a thing 20 years ago, or at least it was not something as widely used as it is today, but in the present day, the System on a Chip represents an approach to making electronic
