Building Le Fish Edit. There are many different approaches to building Le Fish, and they have evolved significantly over time. The design has been built using a wide variety of techniques, and flown successfully across a broad range of weights from 16.5oz (470g) to 43oz (1220g) and more. In all cases it is fun to fly, but
30 Dec 2013 There are no official instructions, the idea is to build for your conditions and desired flying style. The Le Fish Wiki explains three different build styles. Traditional - 1kg build using extreme packing tape, strong covering material, multiple carbon and timber stiffening spars and standard sized servos - great for
The Le Fish is a opensource design and much documentation available for it, but I rather build a kit than to carve it out of foam myself. This is where this French version comes into play. The kit and instructions seem rather extensive, though entirely in French. Looks like a neat build. Glassed foam fuselage.
“I've come to realize that what I want is a four channel plane (flaperons/elevator/rudder) that will fly in lift similar to a Weasel and can take the same kind of abuse." — Original Le Fish build thread. Hello and thank you for your interest in the Le Fish and Spindrift Ultrabatic / VTPR glider designs! The Le Fish glider was
22 Jul 2013 Now that I have a slope I can fly from, I'm at full-throttle trying to finish my Le Fish. I built out the wing as a mix between the kit's contents (no instructions on this plane) and Steve Lange's original build. The wing The fuselage of the Le Fish is barely wide enough to stack two standard servos side-by-side.
I thought I'd have a go at a build log with my new ship from the states, I don't think this plane "Le Fish" from Leading Edge Gliders is all that well known in this country so why not! It's a aerobatic glider that is capable of 4 axis flying & takes advantage of the latest in radio mixing. This model is made of EPP

23 Jan 2014 This kit from Leading Edge Gilders includes wing and fuselage cores, carbon and hardwood spars, pushrods and control horns, balsa ailerons and tail parts. There are no official instructions but heaps of info online. Just search for Le Fish. The build involved a few new techniques and materials for me:
