I have been tring to tell the difference between different settings when captruing and converting into mpeg2, But i don't see much difference. Only when i decrease the bit rate by a lot i see some artifacts. I want to capture good Mpeg2 video that can be outputed to a XSVCD or svcd without compression. Hello, I have edited my first Movie using 'AVS Video Editor' and I have decided to save my movies in the MPEG-2 format. After choosing MPEG-2, 'AVS Video Editor' presents me with the following choices in a drop-down menu: a) DVD NTSC compatible - (MPEG-2, 4000kbps, 720x480, 29.97fps) b) DVD. A bitrate that will avoid pixelization during action scenes? They probably won't notice the difference as much as you and I do,But it might keep them from Yawning and going to sleep,TOSSING JIM'S DVD BEHIND THE EASY CHAIR!!! BUT so Far the MPEG Captures have looked Great!!!!...Are there any advantages to capturing in 352x480 vs 720x480?? or are the. I am trying to export a 720x480 4:3 (29.97fps) standard definition DV AVI video file from the timeline and create a 720x486 SD 4:3 mpeg-2 file. I know this is an odd export, but my playout server will only play 720x486 files and my native footage is 720x480 4:3 DV. I know that for the screen size of a 720x480 image, ATSC specifies there is only 704 active horizontal pixels. So when rendering animations for DVD, I've always used a frame size of 704x480. I mean, why bother rendering those extra pixels when they're not going to show up on the screen anyways! I just managed to do a rendering by picking MPEG-2 720x40 60i and this required that I separately render the audio to generate an AC-3 file at 48000 Hz, 192 kps. I then loaded up DVD Architect Pro 6.0, picked the two files and proceeded with the burn. Is this a good protocol or is there some combination of. Several architectural solutions have been proposed for MPEG-2 video coding, however today's technology is not able to get the whole coder in a single VLSI. Mathematically seen this works as follows: We have a 720x480 MPEG-2 stream. You multiply the vertical resolution with the aspect ratio (480*16/9=853) which gives you the horizontal resolution for a properly stretched movie. So the 720x480 stream will be stretched horizontally to 853x480 during playback. This allows to.
