Firefox has a built in PDF viewer that can open a PDF document for you without saving and I believe it is enabled by default,but if you are trying to open some other formats, I am afraid you would require some addons. Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately the "Always ask me where to save files" option will not allow me to open the file directly, just to choose . Save file: Saves the file to the download folder (specified in the General panel of Firefox Preferences). Do this automatically for files like this from now on: Check mark this setting and then click OK to add a new entry to the Content Type list for that file type.
18 Sep 2015 When I used to click on a PDF file, it would automatically open in my default PDF viewer. Now it askes me to save even though I have set in preferences that PDF should be opened automatically with my PDF viewer. Now I have to wait for it download, then click on it again. I do not want these files saved
