7 May 2008 "I removed my tachometer the other day because it didn't work, at all. Unfortunately I failed to label the wires when I took them off. Black, Grey, and Purple wires were attached to it. The new teleflex tachometer (in a MARPAC branded package) said that it should "go to zero" when the power is turned on.
Please tells us what terminals are on the tachometer and how they are labeled. If you have a Teleflex gauge, they have an extensive website with all sorts of great information about their products. I removed the tach and engine from a boat I de-rig to swap over onto the Carolina Skiff.
