As far as I can tell all the transmission to engine bolts have been removed. 3 on top and 2 on the bottom of the gearbox bell housing. 9 Aug 2005 All, I will be attempting to remove the manual gearbox from my '97 2.3 LPT at the weekend so that Abbott can fix the second gear jumping out fault. Interestingly the clutch is made by Sachs, I think these are available cheaper than "genuine" Saab clutches but it looks like Saab fitted them as standard

I haven't done this on a Saab, but with my other vehicles, I've had to resort to taking out the engine just to get the two to mate back together. Its a nightmare.
