Ben Kendall's secret government agents team, mainly comprising Guinea pigs, plus a mole and insects like the fly Mooch and even cockroaches, must stop it, being a cover for a deadly weapon which would exterminate humanity. The FBI is not impressed and shuts down Kendall's program, but he and his animal team go on.A specially trained squad of guinea pigs is dispatched to stop a diabolical billionaire from taking over the world.Oh Disney, what have you done with yourself? The best thing I can say about G-Force is that it appeals to its audience of children--that is, it appeals to kids while offering nothing for anyone else. The soundtrack is essentially comprised of the pop songs of the day, and they often have absolutely nothing to do with the events unfolding on screen. The humor comes straight out of a grade school student's mind (A major joke of the movie is a fat, farting guinea pig). There's very little emotion underlying the story, and no real connection is made to the characters. There is a twist to the story, but it's the kind of Shyamalan-style twist that falls apart under logical inspection and doesn't even fit in. Kids will enjoy it for the cute guinea pigs and bathroom humor, but there's not much for the parents.I am a fan of good cartoons and my 7-year old son and I saw this together. Unfortunately, there's nothing really original in this movie where the plot is the usual one, with a bad guy who wants to rule the world and a happy ending where the frustrated and controlling party -the mole- is brought to reason without inflicting too much damage. It barely seems to be riding on the originality of previous movies such as the good fellas being unusual (guinea pigs instead of the "Ratatouille" rats) and at least 2 scenes resembling Toy Story (the pigs escaping from their children owners and the car chase where the skate board is replaced by a futuristic 3-ball vehicle). The only interesting (not new but "refreshed") idea is that of machines attempting to control the world, but the "coffee-machine" is really used in one scene only. So OK, the visual effects are sometimes impressive, but technology does not do all in a movie !A fur-covered "A-Team" for the kiddies, G-Force is heavy on splashy pyrotechnics and predictably light on plot.G-Force was filmed from a screenplay written by the American screenwriting team of Marianne and Cormac Wibberley. Guinea pigs are the "G" in "G-Force", a specially trained team of guinea pigs who are trying to stop a diabolical scheme to destroy the world by bombarding it with space junk. Apart from the title, no. G-Force: Guardians of Space (1987) was the second American version of the Japanese series Kagaku ninja tai Gatchaman (1972), which had been previously dubbed as Battle of the Planets (1978).
