30 Sep 2011 My best friend has never driven a manual car, and teaching him to ride my bike is a pain in the ass. The move from 5-speed -> motorcycle is easier than motorcycle -> 5 speed. But now that its gone Im looking for a cheaper car for bad weather and a gs for every other possible driving condition :thumb:
I've ridden a manual car for about 5 years now and just recently did the msf course last week. I'd say driving the car is easier only because you have a lot to think about on the bike, like is someone going to hit you is there something on the road that you need to move out of the way for and its easier to forget
5 Aug 2017 easier to find than the key or button in a car. Most bikes have 'manual clutches and gear shifting by the foot. As the bike makes it easy to focus on traffic and riding there is less need to fight to stay awake or concentrate on the road-problems car drivers often face from their distractions .
It's essentially the same as riding a bike only your using your foot for the clutch and hand for gear shifter Im sure someone I have a friend who learned to ride a motorcycle before he learned how to drive a manual transmission. He said trying to .. Shifting a bike is easier to learn in my opinion than a car.
CAR TEST DIFFICULTY: do not make the tester FEEL unsafe with u driving. BIKE . And suprise, surprise, it is easier to stall a car (manual gear) than a bike. . frm wad i feel both driving and riding r equally hard .. regardless learning or on the road .. both required skill .. i hav both but i perfer to ride more
If you know how to ride a motorcycle(not one of those new fangled automatic bikes) how easily is it to pick up on driving a manual car? knowing how to ride/shift a bike is completely unrelated to the ability to drive a stick. .. Prettty much every skill is easier in a car than a motorcycle in my opinion. I can't
14 Jan 2009 Anyways, I've always wondered if knowing how to drive stick shift would help in learning to ride a motorcycle. I've got to easier. In addition to not worrying about where the gear shifter goes, the clutch is a lot more forgiving than a car clutch. . I'd say motorcycles are easier than cars, all things considered.
26 Sep 2011 He said that he would never buy a manual transmission vehicle because he does not know how to drive oneyet he rides a motorcycle. :icon_question: Is this normal . The up/down of bike shifting is so much easier than wiggling around some dumb stick to try to get it into gear. No gear grinding on a bike.
A manual car is easier to not fuck up in than a bike though given the gear lay out and the fact you can't fall over in your car. I used to prefer manual cars over autos (2/3 of my cars have been manual) but now I don't care. Riding is so much better than driving so I am indifferent to what car I have now and just
19 Feb 2010 I was talking about motorcycle trips with her and she surprised me by saying "I would rather have my own bike and ride with you than sit on the back of yours!" This got me . FWIW, I thought that learning to ride a motorcycle was easier than learning how to drive a manual transmission car. You could always
