I have had one for years, they used to be one of the favored lenses for wedding photogs with nikon 35mm. . Go for it, great lens, great build, useful close up feature,the focusing is a bit noisy , great perfromance from F/4.5 and up, should be able to pick one up on e-bay for . If u shoot manual don't hesitate.

Apr 2, 2016 LENS TEST: Nikkor AF 35-135mm f/3.5-4.5 (1988 Version) It would have been nicer if the macro was at the longer 135mm end so we have a longer focusing distance from the subject. There's a tiny Auto Focusing is possible for cameras with motorized bodies, but on my D5200, it's manual focus only.
