Based on the IDW Comic, Wynonna Earp follows Wyatt Earp's great great-granddaughter as she battles demons and other creatures. With her unique abilities and a posse of dysfunctional allies, she's the only thing that can bring the paranormal to justice.
A friend recommended Wynonna Earp last year, and my response was "I don't like westerns." But since season one was on Netflix, I gave it a go a few months ago. So I watched the first season. Then I watched the first season again. I learned the second season was in the middle of airing, but I didn't have cable so I bought the season on Amazon. In the meantime I watched multiple reaction videos of every episode that had aired from four different YouTubers. I never imagined I would enjoy a show so much that I would enjoy watching other people watch it.

Two weeks later, the second season ended. I'd finished all the behind the scenes videos I could find. I hungered for more and I stumbled upon videos of the cast from cons, and learned the fandom was more active than I could have imagined. These Earpers were really something! They showed me that I wasn't the only person who was inexplicably hyper-obsessed . I even made a Twitter account a few days ago and began following nothing but Earp-based Twitter accounts.

I hope this properly expresses my passion for this show. The only other shows that have impacted me so strongly, EVER, are Avatar the Last Airbender and Buffy. Both were extremely formative at different points in my life for different reasons. I wish I could have been in on this treasure trove of awesomeness since the start, but I'm here now and I'm all in.
This tv show is as stupid and retarted as it gets.
