I think I need to clarify my question with additional information on the 135mm lens: I shoot mostly portrait, so I prefer the f-stop at 2.8 or smaller. I do not need AF since focus peaking on A7r is quite good and I am very comfortable with manual focus. Also, I am interested in 135mm prime lens which is sharp
135mm Lens War. It just happened that I collected a whole bunch of manual lens, and plenty of them are135mm somehow. Of course, I have the "serious" lens for doing Best range of the lot. Unfortunately I had decided to do only one round of shots with the AF lens, save for the 70-300 I don't trust that much. Well today the
I found the best lens in this focal length Carl Zeiss Jena 135mm f/3.5 for animal portraits and nature, because excellent sharp and it has very good bookeh also. For human portrait I like so much Pentacon 135mm f/2.8 , best version is "Zebra" bokeh exceptional , best what I ever seen. I found Asahi Pentax
Im thinking to get either olympus OM 135mm F2.8 or Contax 135mm F2.8 but any thoughts about these lenses? Or any other suggestion for 135mm manual lenses? This one is easy to answer. Best one by far is easily the samyang 135mm f2. Yep, what Luis wrote. It's my favorite lens (the Rokinon version).
6 Nov 2007 Nikon also makes a dedicated portrait lens in 135mm form, the 135mm f2 DC, which has similar aims achieved differently (it's also optimized for shooting at faster apertures). But that's one interesting lens. Might well be worth buying a Maxxum 7 for that lens alone. An interesting article as well, although I'm
I am interested to know that is the best fast 135mm prime lens? They are not very populat today, but on m43 they are quite good tele lenses. My personal favourites: 1) Vivitar Series 1 135mm F2.3 2) Soligor 135mm F2.0 3) Nikon 135mm F2.0 AI 4) Canon FD 135mm F2.0. From all this lenses I had expirience with Vivitar only
3 Mar 2011 Which one of these 135mm manual lenses is the sharpest of the lot? Auto Focal MC f2.8 Special Revuenon f2.8 Auto Rikenon f2.8 Auto Pentacon MC f2.8.
16 Sep 2013 I am looking for something to give sharpness at the 200mm length. At the moment my choices are sort of around the Takumar smc 135/2.5 (6 element if i can get one) and the Zeiss Sonnar. i know something of each of these. I know the 6 element 2.5 tak m42 is reputed to be v good. Still not sure how much
13 Jan 2015 Samyang has a slight advantage. f/16 – Diffraction has kicked in by this point so all lenses show a decrease in quality. For the first time Canon seems to Gear for Image conclude that this is Samyang's best lens so far, and based on what we've seen here I can't disagree. While this review compared just
20 May 2013 My only issue is that there are TONS of old manual focus 135mm lenses on the market and I have no idea where to start looking to snatch up a good deal. What I mean is that I'm fine with shopping locally, craiglist, ebay, etc., but I have no idea which old manual focus 135mm lenses are worth considering.
