To make things a lot harder for Blade, the vampire leadership launches a public relations "smear campaign" against Blade, letting the world of humans know that he exists, so that the police start hunting him down, thinking he is some sort of horrible monster...The Vampire nation awakens the originator of the race, Dracula. Meanwhile elements of the nation are setting up Blade for the murder of humans. Blade then teams up with the Nightstalkers, including Whistler's daughter to battle the father of the nosferatu.I understand that this movie may not have stimulated the audience intellectually, but it did serve its purpose as entertainment. What more can you expect from a movie that is based off of a comic book character? Out of all 3 of the Blade movies, I still believe the first one to be the best, but third does challenge that belief. As far as Ryan Reynolds goes, I thought he served his purpose as the comic relief. If I'm not mistaken, isn't that all Donal Logue's character served as in the first one? I consider comparing Reynold's to Jason Lee a compliment. Comparing the movie to the directing of Kevin Smith is completely off. Just because there were a few humorous lines doesn't mean it put this movie in the same place as Mallrats. I don't know about anyone else, but I go to movies like this to be entertained and that is exactly what it did. The fight scenes were amazing and very well choreographed. The soundtrack was phenomenal. I liked this movie because it brought a new look and attitude to a classic character, Dracula.
If there was one character that didn't serve a purpose, it would've been HHH. The only thing he did was confirm my belief about professional wrestlers. Their wrestling isn't real and neither are their acting skills. Overall, I felt that this was an action packed film that kept me staring at the screen for the full 2 hours and 10 minutes. I can't wait to buy it on DVD!This movie is not for everyone, but if you liked the last 2 Blade movies Wesley Snipes has kept the tradition alive. Good villains, good supporting cast, and well paced action. The story, which revolves around resurrecting Dracula to battle Blade, holds together OK and the fight scenes are very cool. Parker Posey was surprisingly good as the evil mastermind. After seeing this, I don't think there is any role she can't pull off. While the movie rehashes the basic plot lines from the previous Blade outings (gotta find a way to subjugate the humans and defeat Blade), there are some original twists, subtle political jabs, and more humor than the last time around. 6 out of 10.Director Goyer, who wrote all three Blade films, deserves credit for sticking with the character, but aside from the effectively staged action sequences Trinity is cheap-looking and laughably inept.The footage is from the first film, Blade (1998) (1998), in which Whistler is telling his life story to Dr. Jenson. The third installment of the Blade-series was rated R by the MPAA for its theatrical release. Later, there was also an unrated extended version available on DVD and Blu-ray. This extended cut runs more than 9 minutes longer and adds more story and slightly more action to the theatrical cut.
