While normally the idea of a human-alien relationship seems a bit off-putting (aliens that have distinct alien features and donвЂ™t just look like humans), it works very well for this couple. While you donвЂ™t have to have read the first book, it will certainly make it more entertaining, else-wise it comes across as a simply a piece of sci-fi erotica.As a bit of a summary, Aiden was a pirate of the Caribbean in the 1800вЂІs, when he was rescued by Talos, who can travel though time, from certain death and is spirited 900 years into the future. YouвЂ™d think that would send a man around the bend, but not Aiden, heвЂ™s resourceful and adaptable if nothing else, and before long he and his captor, the Hunter named Talos are in the throws of a romance while he adapts. Lets just say Talos has a few adaptations when it comes to sex which are very clearly explained in this particular story. eyebrow waggleIn this story, Aiden is still very much a pirate, thinking his piratey thoughts and a products of his upbringing in the Caribbean and his life as a pirate. But heвЂ™s also rather thrilled that he lives in a time where he can openly be in love with another male, and he does love Talos. It is Christmas time and many of the humans are preparing for their Christmas traditions, and although TalosвЂ™ people donвЂ™t celebrate, he makes an effort to give Aiden a traditional earth-bound Christmas. Aiden then enlightens him to what a real Caribbean Christmas is all about, including a sensual native dance.The main thrust of the story is the sex scene between the two men, including the extras I mentioned above. ThereвЂ™s not really any plot development, I do love seeing Aiden trying to adapt to a more civilized life in the future, and there is a touch of humour with some of his observations, however, it is what it is. Simply a sex scene underlying the two menвЂ™s feelings for each other.For those who have not read the first story, I highly recommend it. AidenвЂ™s reactions to his situation and even the development of his relationship with Talos was amusing and interesting, along with the adventure sub-plot. I know the author is working on a full sequel, and this whets fans appetite for that, and perhaps it will inspire a few people to pick up that first novel, and get to know the two men properly.Home for the Holidays by Laura Baumbach (Goodreads Author) wiki book find txt online
