First, go to the default 3D view of the model. Turn on and unhide all the elements that you want exported because the add-in will not export elements that are permanently hidden. Go to your Revit Add-Ins tab and click the Create PDF button. This will activate a dialog box as shown in Figure 3.
In an assembly or part file, click File Export 3D PDF. In the Publish 3D PDF dialog box, select model properties to include in the 3D PDF. 26 May 2011 Using version 9 extended of Adobe Acrobat, you can export your revit model as an IFC then bring it in to the PDF. I wrote an article on this in AUGI World before Adobe killed it the newest version, but I am a fan of DWF and using them over the web by embedding them in Firefox using the Autodesk extension
After you have finished your Revit model, the first step in creating a 3D PDF is to export the model using the IFC option. To export a model to an IFC format, you first have to be in a 3D view of the model in Revit. Then, EXPORT -> OPTIONS -> IFC OPTIONS.
