"Marvel's The Defenders" follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal - to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
Set a few months after the events of the second season of Daredevil, and a month after the events of Iron Fist, the vigilantes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist team up in New York City to fight a common enemy: The Hand.
I felt it was a great show. Fusing the team together took sometime and it wasn't a rush. Many people have stated they took a long to time team up. Is 2 episodes too long?
Anyways, the story was pretty basic a continue of mainly Iron fist, Luke and Iron Fists series. All 4 heroes had a good showing but...
I felt Luke Cage was meh at best. I mean he has unbreakable skin yet can get knocked off his feet from a kick and slap. Ep 1 to 7 were solid. The Last episode was meh.
The Hand as the main villain was meh, only because super team ups are cool which is what saved the show. From saying that the villains were not that good. The hand doesn't feel like a big threat. Only when Stick almost killed Iron Fist he felt like the true Villain of the show.
Speaking of Stick he's an awesome character.
In conclusion this show is a solid 8/10. Strengths = 4 heroes. weakness = more lackluster villains from marvel and the the actor playing colleen wing still CANNOT ACT she is horrible.
one last note I thought the Hand was a group of deadly ninjas? I mean most were just white military men in black.
So disappointing. I forced myself to finish Iron Fist and Luke Cage only because I was waiting for this series and wanted to understand the backstory. Well, what a wasted of time, squared. The pace is soooo slowwwww. Nothing interesting happens. I don't care about any of the characters, nor what happens to them. The writers of this show are just bad. Daredevil series was slow too, but it had some redeeming features like Vincent D'onofrio and The Punisher. This has NO redeeming features. I'm finished with Marvel series except for the Punisher with Jon Bernthal. Hopefully these incompetent execs, producers and writers don't screw that up too.
