Forced by the imminent foreclosure of their friend's bar, two lifelong buddies will decide to rob a bank's armoured car, not knowing that its cargo is not money but a new street drug.
The tough biker Harley and his no less tough cowboy friend Marlboro learn that an old friend of theirs will lose his bar, because a bank wants to build a new complex there and demands 2.5 million dollars for a new contract in advance. Harley and Marlboro decide to help him by robbing the corrupt bank. They rob the Bank transport and get hold of an amount of a new synthetic drug. Now they are targeted by criminal bankers.
Look, this movie is one of the most fun movies I've ever watched. Its not some heady uber intelligent movie for one to contemplate and discuss afterwards what the other possible motives might be in the characters. Its for quoting not discussing. Its a buddy movie, its fun and it was in my opinion well done by all with good performances from a majority of the cast. If its on i cant help but watch it if only to see a couple of the great quotes in it as well as the action. I hope Mickey doesn't truly feel like a sell out for this movie because it was in fact a very well done movie and something that was a great deal of fun for many people that were even already fans from as far back as 9.5 weeks.
This movie is so 90s action, with over the top action plot so thin you could see right threw it.
I really love to know what were the masterminds behind this movie thinking, its so bad its good. Ill start by the names of the characters Harley Davidson, Marboro Man, Jack Daniels, and a Mexican guy called Jose Cuervo at this point just call him Tequila Burrito, and a black guy called Jimmie Hendrix...just go with it, man and i thought a Michael Bay product placement was over the top. I remembering seeing this as a kid and it rocked i mean it was just the coolest thing i ever saw... But as i saw it in my early twenties i saw how unrealistic it actually was still it was enjoyable, i mean even if Mikey Rourk said he made this for money you can tell he was having fun with his character, i don't see the point of the Marboro man riding a motorcycle but hey there few little of logic in this film for that.
Ill just say these two would probably died a couple of times during there escapes, and the villains are mostly dumb, so if your looking for a 90s action pack movie ill totally say give it a watch...just don't pretend to make much sense.
Due to the usage of a butterfly knife two scenes had to be cut in Britian in order to obtain a BBFC 15 rating. This censored version was later released on VHS whereas all cuts were waived for the DVD release which is also rated BBFC 15. a5c7b9f00b
