20 May 2010 Can anyone tell me - or even better, draw me a simple picture :oops: - how to strip and clean the bolt on my Parker Hale Safari Deluxe .270. it has the Mauser flag safety that is) and open the bolt and remove from rifle then with safety still in this upright position unscrew the rear of the bolt and then clean off
Plus the fact the firing pin wont come out far enough to hit the primer of the 308 round it requires. I can only assume it is obstructed with debris. Could anyone here help me out with some kind of diagram or instruction on how to do this. Try Googling disassembling a mauser bolt & see if that helps.
20 Mar 2017 There are differing models of these aftermarket products and they don't all function for bolt disassembly in the same manner. Perhaps the most . I had a Parker-Hale Safari with that kind of safety, but it, like most things Parker-Hale Midland, was marked simply "P-H" on the lever. How many psi in a CUP?
23 Mar 2006 I bought a Parker Hale model 1200 in 300 Win. Mag. It is based on the Mauser 98 action but has the thumb operated slide safety instead of the original flip type bolt mounted safety. I'm a Mauser rookie. I can't figure out how to disassemble the bolt. Could somebody please help? Step by step instructions
9 Oct 2011 How much similarity is there between a Model 1200 safari and a Parker-Hale Sporter? From pictures it looks like both have Mauser 98 bolt. How about trigger mechanisms? Similar? Dissimilar? Interchangeable? Are both adjustable (manual I found shows some adjustment for Sporter trigger mechanism).
All the Parker Hale sporter rifles I've seen were Mauser 98 barreled actions in sporter stocks. Any of the disassembly instructions for the standard Mauser 98 would apply. HTH John

This is the bolt and action I'll be using with the 8mmx63 project. The action is a commercial, heat treated and pressure tested to allow for modern loads. whats the bit on the end of the bolt, behind the bolt itself? managed to twist mine anti clockwise and cant turn it back so bolt wont fit back into the rifle. Got a Parker Hale 1200 deluxe in 243,, bloody great rifle, had it screwcut and added my 50 quid P8 mod, lovely. Groups as well as my new Tika t3 did. ATB

As I recall a Parker Hale safari deluxe is a Mauser action, take the bolt and clamp the cocking piece in a vice there is a button on the bolt shroud left hand side push it back into the shroud
