I made this Adder's Tongue farming guide to help out players who want to farm the herbs instead of buying them from the Auction House. It only grows in Sholazar Basin, though it is found in abundance there. It's recommended to have Herbalism 400 before you start farming, so you won't get any herb fragments.
An epic flying mount is preferably but not necessary. Not a lot of players are willing to travel to Northrend to farm herbs, so you probably won't run into any competition.
