10-15-09, 03:59 PM. Thanks---I have looked at the hpd-10 manual--- but getting back to the wave drum----is there a place on-line where I can see and here a demo of that instrument? Thanks, Steve
The HPD10 and HPD15 have now been joined by the new HPD20, boasting 850 new drum, percussion and melodic sounds, three independent multi-effects processors Above the LCD is the D-Beam, Roland's invisible infra-red beam of light that controls both sound and effects on the HPD20 through hand movements.
It is missing some cool knobs (3 real time modify) and those L&R Ribbon Controls. Just incase anyone asks . Roland Handsonic HPD-10 vs. HPD-15 - VDrums . a reason to buy them. I'm leaning towards buying the HPD-10 first because I think it'll be more useful, but I'm GASsing more for the Wavedrum.

The Korg manual calls them “notches," but they compose a portion of the rim that can be scraped in a similar manner to a guiro.
