The WIC Program provides supplemental foods, nutrition education and referrals to health care, at no cost, to low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are determined to be at nutritional risk.
WIC is for women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or recently had a baby. It is also for infants and children under age 5. Those who fall into these qualifying groups are eligible for WIC if they meet the WIC income guidelines or are enrolled in a program that qualifies under Adjunct Income Eligibility.
