27 Jul 2010 How to link an image with WordPress. You can link images in your wordpress posts or pages to any URL or file. You might want to link to another website or you might want to link to a PDF or other file you have on your site. This short tutorial will show you how to do both.
Link an Image to a Document. First, you'll want to upload your document to your Media Library as directed above. Then, select the document from the list of uploaded files, choose Edit at the bottom left corner of the window. Finally, follow the Image Links guide using your newly acquired file URL.
Locate your cursor precisely where the text link will be placed (but don't type any text). Click the Add Media button (above the editing toolbar buttons). Click Select Files or drag your PDF file into the dotted box. Your PDF document will be imported into the WordPress Media library.
