31 Dec 2011 So I have a hankering for making a guy who acts as a machine gun for the team. The question is, should I go fighter (has much more consistent damage output) or paladin (much more well-rounded, smite evil can be used with bow and has various fun powers)?
Posted in 2012, this build is no longer optimal, though it is still effective. The newer traits, feats, weapon enchantments available to archers, nerfs to the Greater Magic Weapon Spell, new insights, and new Paladin spells would change the advice for an optimal Paladin build today. And the current Optimal Paladin ranks
31 May 2014 For the past few months I've been working on a guide for playing a paladin as an archer. It's not I think it's a good explanation of the archer paladin and comes to the same conclusion that Bodhizen has with regards to Divine Hunter. As you . If you regularly get to choose when to fight (sneaking or setting ambushes for enemies) you will find this build strong. But if your DM loves hitting your group with surprise combats, you may find this build very weak. Lastly, take care to avoid a frustrated DM. Archer paladins can seem insanely overpowered
30 May 2017 Paladins are naturally strong archers in Pathfinder, so it may come as a surprise that Paizo created the divine hunter archetype (Ultimate Combat) to make them even better at it. Surprising or not, the divine hunter is a solid choice if you're considering a paladin archer for your next character. It also plays well
29 Apr 2016 This last one is just in case you attempt to build physically or your Fighter is being cornered by a Demon or something -Holy Sword: PROS: weapon automatically becomes +5 AND deals an additional 2d6 damage to Evil Creatures. CONS: Can only be applied to melee weapons and negates the powers
One of my players wants to play a Paladin who mains using a bow. Would a ranged smite be broken? What's the best way to go about this? Hi OP! Ok first of all: 1. Playing a Bowman Paladin without changing any rule is doable with a specific build and playstyle. You will still have to engage into melee for
