If I could have a "Do over" I would have bought an 8" Dobsonian but there is still a lot to recommend the 130p Goto. .. I think the biggest problem with the Skywatcher SynScan is the appalling manual. . The Skywatcher manuals are not that bad, apart from the EQ3 and EQ5 Synscan upgrade sheets.
The SkyWatcher Explorer 130P SynScan AZ GOTO telescope is an excellent telescope. The Explorer 130P is an true Newtonian telescope with a parabolic mirror. . For an exact comparison download the SLT manual from Celestron and the SkyWatcher SynScan AZ GOTO manual from SkyWatcher.
