You'll find the pad retraction on SRAM brakes is best on the SwingLink brakes, not the direct link. Thats the Guide RS, RSC and ultimates. All the others (inc. all Level brakes) use DirectLink levers which sit the pads a little closer to the discs. Based on your requirements, I would warranty your M8000 brakes,
