I've been reading here that Alistair is one of the better tanks in the game but I always have to keep barraging him with healing spells since his life seems to go down so quickly I want to know how you guys built his skills and stats to make him this formidable tank Should I have gotten all his Sword+Shield

Party Members Alistair is ready to go in this role. Sten starts with a couple points spent in Two-Handed talents, but could be switched to tanking with minimal loss.

18 Mar 2011 Don't bother putting strength past 42 (enough to equip the best gear) for a tank. A tank is not a damage dealer; he's there to draw aggro and be unkillable. You might also want a few points in willpower so he doesn't run out of stamina - the right gear can do this too - but otherwise everything else should go
3 Nov 2009 which character is the best tank? i like using sten most of the time, but should i be using alistar or shale instead? are they better than sten at tan.
Threaten - Alistair is my main tank, so as much as possible I want the monsters to concentrate their efforts on him. 6th level. Overpower - I script Alistair so that he can knock Alistair hasn't fallen short of the prerequisites. 8th level. OK I have searched trough several forums but still I cannot find a GOOD tank build for alistair. The only thing I hear is meh, I put some points in there and some there, and I got that talent Right very informative. Can anyone give me some more information? Alistair has the potential to be one of your party “tanks" if you like the character. He's strongest with a shield, and his Templar abilities can come in handy against Emissaries and spell casters.
30 Dec 2009 First off, enemy mages in this game are horrible. God damn chain lightning and fireball spells all the time killing everybody and making life difficult :mad:. The most intuitively appealing solution is to stack +X physical resistance gear/runes on your Weapon and Shield Talents-oriented warrior having his Shield Wall mode on. Unfortunately, doing this makes you sacrifice a significant part of your tank's spell resistance gear. Another alternative is using Two-Handed Talents, and
