Teito is back in his deep psyche and trying to read the lock that is on Verlorens body (the cage) and the Eye of Mikael starts to try to repair the broken lock but Ayanami interferes and is able to control the Eye of Mikael because if he doesnt obey Teito will be harmed in the process. Later Teito is given a mission to protect the princess at her birthday ball where she will decide who her fiance will be. To protect her though Teito will disguise himself as one of the suitors but in order to do so he is adopted by the Chairman. After Hakuren Oak makes sure that Teito can dance he brings Mikage (baby dragon) to Teito and shows him some of the things that prove Teito was not in the military for the past two months and was actually at the church. This was a nail biter volume. So much happened and there was a huge twist that readers will enjoy. This volume also showed so many emotions that when it ends you will be wanting more. The interactions between Teito and Ouka were refreshing to see and readers will be glad to step away from Ayanami and witness other characters throughout this volume.
