After an overly ambitious businessman transports an 80-foot python to the United States, the beast escapes and starts to leave behind a trail of human victims. An FBI agent and a snake specialist come up with a plot to combat the creature by pitting it against a bioengineered, 70-foot boa constrictor. It's two great snakes that snake great together!
After a genetically-altered python escapes, a scientist is enlisted to help kill it by releasing a giant boa constrictor that he owns.
I'm very surprised at how many "versus" movies there are these days. First off, let me say that I wasn't expecting too much from this movie. Considering that Boa and Python 1 & 2 were all direct to video, I was expecting this one to be along the same lines. But, it wasn't.
Right off the bat, we see the snakes--which is unusual, because in most B-rated creature features, we don't see the abnormally sized creature until at least half-way through. In this, we see the python near the beginning.
The deaths are more elaborate and bloody (one features a man being bit in half!), and the plot is slightly better. The actors are still the same: they insult our intelligence and can't act for their life.
Boa vs. Python: Rated R for violence/gore, language, and some sexuality. 1.5/5
You have to understand with these kinds of movies (boa vs. python,frankenfish, sasquatch hunters, rottweiler, tower of blood), you are not going to like it. You are going to think it was soo bad it was hilarious. Most importantly you cannot take it seriously as a movie. You have to also watch it with friends so you can all yell and say how stupid something was, or call something that is about to happen. I have seen about 8 movies like this one and I did not like one, but I had an amusing time watching it. WARNING: If you are looking for a scary movie or an interesting suspenseful movie DO NOT WATCH THIS! If you are on the other hand seeing something with friends, and you cant find a good comedy watch one of these. If you pick this movie out because you thought it would be cool, you should have been eliminated from the gene pool years ago. My personal favorite out of these 5 is sasquatch hunters, it was beyond helpless.
