A smart alecky San Francisco, California cop and his get rich quick scheme of a partner keep tabs on crime and take down the bad guys in the Bay Area.
Nash Bridges (Don Johnson) is a celebrated veteran police officer, and head of the SIU Department of the San Francisco, California Police Department. With his best friend and partner for life Joe Dominguez (Richard Anthony "Cheech" Marin), and his loyal crew of law enforcement, they're the best of the best in taking down the crime that plagues the city. From powerful people of immense wealth right on down to scum at the bottom of the ladder, Bridges will take them down in his lifelong devotion to the law. But aside from his professional exploits, he's a divorced single father with a young teenage daughter ahead of her time, a father whose attitude refuses to confine himself to a nursing home, and relationships that never quite solidify because of his career.
Don Johnson goes back to his acting roots, the smart and sassy cop show, the kind of show that made him so big back in the
'80s. The subject: "Nash Bridges." Johnson plays the title
character, a smooth-talking, normally good-natured San Fransis- co police inspector who prowls the streets in his yellow(!)
convertable with his partner Joe Dominguez (Cheech Marin), mak- ing life easier for decent folks. While not battling perps,
Nash deals with his teen daughter Cassidy (Jodi Lynn O'Keefe) who does her typical girl thang, like hanging with her friends, whom sometimes Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of.
Though this show has some moments of both action and comedy
(supplied mostly by Marin), "Nash Bridges" can't and won't reach the same aura of popularity that "Miami Vice" was able to
obtain. Still, this show is fine and enjoyable, with Johnson
obviously enjoying his role, as if it will shine some new light into his image!
I used to watch Nash (Don Johnson) every day until it was removed it is a really good show and it was the best of its time that had to do with comedy, action, and drama combined. I still do watch when it comes on and i have off from school and work because it doesn't come on on the weekend (which is a real dumb choice)after all they did put it on on the weekends but from a scale of 1-10 i liked this show 10000 I really loved the show and i still do so Who ever made this show i give you MAJOR PROPS. Just for the record i liked the show so much because i want to be a cop because i just think they really help people out so i've wanted to be a cop since age 7 (Second Grade). Have A Good Day. :)
