4 Oct 2017 Since the most recent conda update , python (and thus pretty much everything using Python, including conda itself) fails with Illegal instruction on older 64-bit Linux machines running CentOS 6. Works OK on some newer 64-bit machines though, so my guess is your most recent Python build is just pulling in
11 Sep 2017 Surprisingly enough the same project runs well on a Windows 10 laptop with an earlier version of pytorch on a conda I discovered that in a python window, i could “import torch" but when I do a torch.rand(4) as an example, i get an “illegal instruction, core dumped" so this is what is killing my script.

i'm doing pip install of scikit-learn and nltk in python 3.6 and get error Illegal instruction: 4. i'm on osx 10.7.5. i had earlier updated python 3 version with conda install python="3". i've re-installed conda, and it looks like a complier error. i'm not fully sure how to de-bug it. how can i understand what's causing this error? how can
