Reduced Sodium Polish Dill Pickles on BigOven: I like dill pickles and since being put on a low sodium diet they were pretty will off limits till I found this recipe.
Ugh! This method is so easy, ANYONE can do this! It's a great thing to do with your kids! If you'd like a tested low-sodium dill pickle recipe without sugar, see this.
Directions. PREPARE boiling water canner. WASH cucumbers. COMBINE sugar, salt and vinegar in a large saucepan. PACK cucumbers into hot jars leaving 1/2 inch headspace. LADLE hot liquid over cucumbers leaving 1/2 inch headspace. PROCESS filled jars in a boiling water canner for 15 minutes, adjusting for altitude.
15 Apr 2015 . Scrub cucumbers clean with a veggie brush and rinse the dill in water, shake off excess water. Cut the dill stems to a length where they will fit into your jars. Place vinegar, water and sugar in a saucepan of at least 2 1/2 quarts capacity, and bring to boil.
A great recipe for those living a low sodium diet. Comes from The No-Salt Cookbook. These taste wonderful and keep well in the fridge. Whats better??? No one.
