Switching characters forces the game to save on the XBLA version. I switch characters before I want to quit because it forces the game to save. I've done it since I got the game on PC and I've yet to have it not save. From what I recall on the Xbox version, changing any item in Settings and choosing Save

22 Sep 2013 Yeah any way to save, without messing with the permadeath thing or making the game TOO easy, is cool. However IF I can hold out I'm going to wait to play this until it has proper K&M support and has been at least "mostly" completed for PC. I don't have a controller to use so if it's needed at all I'm screwed.

the game auto-saves after missions and it auto-saves when you switch between playable survivors. so you can quit whenever you see the auto-save icon pop up. any files named (class3.0.ulsave) and neither that path ( C:GamesSteamuserdata"your number"241540local ) dont exist in my pc and i cant save the game.
I've read how some people really like the single save file system and I respect their opinion and preferences. I personally do not like single autosave files in games. I'd rather have the choice to save when I wish or reload a prior save. After two disaster games.
