A teenage boy named Eren Jaeger must use his special gift to fight alongside with the military to defeat the titan race. Mankind is on the brink of extinction when these man-eating monsters terrorize everybody and set to destroy the last of human civilization left in the world.
In a world where giant humanoid Titans prey on humans, Eren joins the scouting legion to get revenge on the monsters who killed everyone in his town.
I personally thought that this was a great rendition converting anime to movie. Most movies from other stories really destroy the awesomeness going from a book or anime to movie, but this movie really did a stand up job in making the story come to life. The graphics were simply amazing, surpassing most American made movies with our CG attempts. The sets were stunning to say the least! the expense they must have put into this movie must have been staggering. I hope that the follow up movies after this take and include at least the same standard as this first in hopefully a complete series. I would say that this movie is easily on par with the Lord of the Rings series here in America. Sure, you have to read the subtitles, but for a movie this good, it was so worth it! If you loved the anime, watch this movie. Sure, some things don't line up with the anime series, but hey, they had to condense it to something that would work on the big screen. If you hadn't anything else to compare this movie to, then it is perfect! Watch it, most won't be disappointed, while some people wouldn't accept it unless it followed every sentence used in the anime, which would never happen in any movie of any story, so ignore the naysayers, you shouldn't be disappointed.
Loved the show, hate this piece of crap. The whole experience was awful and I'm very glad I got the torrent instead of paying. The acting was terrible, the cgi or whatever the hell that was was terrible. It really pisses me of that not only did they announce a sequel but they had scenes from it, which means it's already filmed. This leads me to question who the hell is funding this garbage. I really think this movie would have been better if it was made in America because our actors are way better actors and I feel like they could portray the characters more accurately. I don't want this to happen because this movie already ruined a show that I dearly loved, so please movie people stop making live action adaptions of anime. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE.
