With the emerging demand of hyperfuel and other resources, Han Solo finds himself in the middle of a heist alongside other criminals, where they meet the likes of Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian in an adventurous situation exposing the criminal underworld.
During an adventure into the criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his future copilot Chewbacca and encounters Lando Calrissian years before joining the Rebellion.
Ignore all the fake reviews and people making alternate IMDB accounts to spam the 1/10 rating everywhere. I will admit that after being a bit disappointed with The Last Jedi, I walked in to the theater not expecting much from this film, but I ended up liking it way more than I thought I would. Even though it was a different actor playing as Han Solo, it was still a younger version of him, plus we get to learn all about his life before the first few Star Wars movies. Only thing I didn't like about it was how I saw Darth Maul near the end of this film and there wasn't really any explanation to why he was in this film. So apparently, this movie had to have happened before The Phantom Menace. I don't really know. But other than that, it was pretty good. You do not have to wait until it comes out on DVD or anything, just go see it in theaters. You won't be disappointed.
Disney is clearly just milking the Star Wars brand for everything it's got. Spin off after spin off. Sequel after sequel. Yet another rushed into movie without any actual effort put into the script. If they took the time with this and actually invested some time and passion this could of been a great movie. But keeping my true to the Disney way and rush it out for maximum revenue they have lived up to Disney's standard of another below average movie.
While the movie ends in a way that’s clearly designed to prompt further sequels, we don’t get that prequel X factor that makes us interested in a character arc whose outcome we already know. “Better Call Saul" knows how to do this; “Solo" doesn’t.
