23 Nov 2012 I run 1x9 (32 up front, whatever-the-range-on-the-rear) and my current setup of a bash ring and an N-gear Jump Stop just isn't cutting the mustard anymore. I'm not I've seen the ones that sit over the top of the chainring, like MRP, and then one that sits under the chainstay, like the Bionicon C-guide thing.

If you don't need a chain guide on a single ring with rear derailleur set-up a fashionably set-up mtb is probably overkill for the riding you're doing.
