Today we wandered through the city to get to the busstation, in hopes of finding a bus that could take us to Auschwitz.

After a little back and forth, we found a little bus to take us all the way, and we walked through the gates.
Auschwitz I was not a pretty sight.
But it did look a bit more liveable than Birkenau.
After looking around we decided to head for Birkenau 3 km away. Unfortunately no buss between the two places ran in the winter, so we had to hurry in order to get there before it closed for the day.
And after a little while we saw the towers in the distance.
The camp was so INSANELY HUGE, it was heartwrenching.

A lot of people had taken the trip out there today, walking in the footsteps of the hundred of thousands of people walking to the gaschambers a few decades before.
Me included.

The sun was very nice today.
