Today we are off to the westbank of Luxor (the land of the dead) and the valley of the kings! Saw this funny thing on the way there. Man, they put a lot of strange stuff on their trucks.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, finally at valley of the kings!
This is the way up to Tutmosis the III's tomb, and oh my it was hot down there in the deep. Like 60 degrees minimum. It actually felt COLD to get back up into the daylight again (and I bet it was 40 i
The coolest thing ever was that there were archaeologists and other workers digging stuff when we were there, I totally wanted to jump in and join ;__;
Lots of pottery to analyze!
Some arabians, and the pyramid mountain in the background (the reason why this valley was considered holy and why they chose it as the place for all of these tombs)!
When finished we started the climb up behind the valley. We are walking all the way over to Hatshepsuts temple!
View down over the valley.
The path when it was at its easiest :P
Got some pretty awesome views down towards the Nile and the fertile lands around it too!
It was VERY fertile where it was fertile o.o Doesnt really look like Egypt :shady:
Finally Hatshepsuts temple came into view! People look like ants down there.
Hola.
Some dude making alabaster jars.
Some run down little village.
The colossi of Memnon, all that remains of a gigantic temple.
A little salesgirl.
We crossed the Nile in one of these colorful cute boats.
Arab.
Saw a pretty amazing sunset on the way back to Hurghada. Too bad it was very hard to capture it from inside the bus. Wish I could've wandered along the canals between Qena and Luxor. Amazing area.
Wasnt any easier to capture the moon. And it was soooo huge! This looks rather abstract and cool though imo :P
