7 Sep 2013 I used an old Kelsey-Hayes 81739, an electric brake controller that taps into the brake line and uses a little hydraulic cylinder to apply the trailer brakes in I have uploaded the complete manual here, along with the selective resistor card that also came with it, in case someone else finds it helpful. The red light on the Hayes-Lemmerz Energize Electric Trailer Brake Controller, item # HA81745 should not illuminate until the brake pedal is pressed or the manual lever is activated.
