But when the atoll starts flooding, no one is safe from the double jaws of the monster.We came across this movie by chance whilst flipping through the channels on Saturday night ....and what a treat it was !!!!!! We laughed from start to finish , uncontrollably at times . It was the combination of stupid story line , appalling acting , the worst continuity i have seen since '' crossroads '' circa 1970 and the sunbathing scene starring Carmen Electra thrown in for no apparent reason other than to titillate the viewers !!! The size of the two headed shark varied by about 20 foot in every scene , limbs which had been severed miraculously re appeared , the shore line was near, far and near again and the land in the background made it all the more laughable . The sinking island was brilliant and how the fishermen had built such intricate walkways 1000's of miles from anywhere is a amazing thing in itself . Trying to find scrap metal there was also a silly thing to attempt . The fact that all the students kept hold of their rucksacks throughout was commendable and the welding scenes were superb We loved this film for all the wrong reasons and it made our Saturday night !!!When this film was being considered for production the talk around the table probably went something like this. "Jaws was a great film so if we make a similar film but featuring a two headed shark it will be twice as good as Jaws". Unfortunately for viewers this concept was flawed.
The acting in this film is very very bad and there are errors and plot holes all over the place. One example, the deserted island has some fisherman's huts and the fishermen had nothing better to do with their time so at great expense they built extensive concrete paths with wire fences on both sides.
The sole redeeming feature of this disaster of a film is that very little was spend on costumes for the female participants who wear bikinis and sometimes only the bottom half.Nineteen "Semester at Sea" students on an educational vessel, the Sea King, led by Professor Franklin Babish (Charlie O'Connell) and his wife Anne (Carmen Electra), along with three crew members, are forced to take shelter on a deserted island (which is repeatedly, incorrectly referred to as an atoll) after the hull of their boat is damaged by a dead megamouth shark when its body gets lodged in the boat's propeller. The island looks like an ideal place to spend 24 hours while Captain Laura (Morgan Thompson) repairs the damage, until it becomes apparent that the island is sinking into the ocean, and a huge, two-headed shark is patrolling the waters. 2-Headed Shark Attack was filmed from a story by Edward DeRuiter, and a screenplay by H. Perry Horton. Polycephalic (two-headed) animals are rare but not unheard of. There have been two-headed turtles, snakes, sheep, dogs, cats, etc. They are formed in the same way that conjoined twins are formed—when monozygotic twins fail to separate into two independent organisms. With the island sinking into the ocean, the water closing around them, and the two-headed shark hunting them, the last three survivors—Kirsten (Corinne Nobili), Kate (Brooke Hogan), and Paul (David Gallegos)—make a last ditch attempt to kill the shark by rigging up a gas barrel as an explosive. Kate swims out to attract the shark by dripping blood in the water from a wound on her hand, while Paul and Kirsten try to light the fuse, but it won't catch. Kirsten grabs the barrel and swims out with it, pounding on the metal, trying to lure the shark away from Kate and Paul. When the shark takes off after her, she explodes the barrel, killing herself and taking out one of the shark's two heads. When the remaining one-headed shark turns on Kate and Paul, Kate notices the dinghy nearby, starts up the outboard motor, and jumps off as the boat heads out to sea, the sound of the motor attracting the shark. The shark takes off after the boat and attempts to bite the propeller. The dinghy explodes, taking the shark with it.
