An astronaut named Gary and his planet-destroying sidekick called Mooncake embark on serialized journeys through space in order to unlock the mystery of where the universe actually ends and if it actually does exist.
Final Space is an epic animated sci-fi comedy about a spaceman named Gary who is working off a prison sentence and makes a mysterious new alien friend, Mooncake, that he immediately bonds with. But what Gary doesn't know is that his adorable new sidekick is actually wanted by the sinister Lord Commander who will stop at nothing to use Mooncake's untapped powers for evil.
I initially gave up on Final Space during the first episode because Gary, the main character, was such a fool. I'm SO glad I came back to it and watched the rest of episode 1 (and season 1 in quick succession). This show masterfully combines humour, action, and drama all in a sci-fi setting and with some of the most breathtaking animation I've seen in a while. Some of the scenes where they pull back from the ship out the team while rotating the 'camera' are just gorgeous!

This show will make you laugh, gasp and maybe even cry - it's brilliant!
First episode I thought it was an annoying, try hard, Futurama wannabe. But the character and story development is amazing, "Chookity".
