When the sun goes down
and the cold creeps up
then emptied the streets of people
and the sound of all life fades
away into the night
here I am left alone, from high above
looking out over the city
that slowly becomes quiet
and enlightened by all the lights
in the anticipation of a new day
when silence has settled over the city
I’m the only one left
in my loneliness, I look up at all the stars
that shines through the clouds with their light
wondering has each man his own star
or are we two that share
is there anyone out there
that watches the very same star as I am
is there anyone out there
who feels just the same as I do
is there anyone out there
looking for a friend to hang out with
is there more people like me
