2 Sep 2009 I'm afraid Rick Steves doesn't rate very highly with a lot of locals and regulars on this forum. I'm a fan of Lonely Planet guides and I like their Ireland Guide. I think it's particularly suited to the more independent traveller who wants to stray a little from well worn tourist trails and get under the surface of things.
