The SolidWorks Associative Interface add-in can be downloaded from the SIMULIA Online Support System. The manual also includes information about installing the components of the SolidWorks Associative Interface. The Abaqus/CAE CAD Connection toolset. which is enabled with a SolidWorks Associative Interface
SolidWorks Associative Interface: This add-on capability for Abaqus/CAE creates a connection between a SolidWorks session and an Abaqus/CAE session. This connection can be used to transfer model information from SolidWorks to Abaqus/CAE. Subsequent modifications to the model in SolidWorks can be propagated
Also worth noting that if you are on Win7, you may need to choose "Run as Administrator" when starting SW to be able to install the add-in (but not for subsequent usage) in order to write to the registry successfully (I came across this issue when installing the Abaqus Associative Interface add-in dll).

The associative interfaces use the CAD Connection toolset to create a connection between Abaqus/CAE and a CAD system running an associative interface plug-in. Associative interface plug-ins are available for the following CAD systems: CATIA V6. CATIA V5. NX (Unigraphics). SolidWorks. Pro/ENGINEER.

We have setup two terminal servers to allow ME faculty, staff and students to access AutoCad,. Adams, Ansys Workbench, DesignBuilder, EES. LS-Dyna, Maple, Mathcad, Matlab, Mathmatica,. Solidworks, and TrueGrid from your dorm rooms or off campus 24/7. You will login with your. Cal Poly username and password.
You can also use the connection to export certain geometry modifications from an imported model in Abaqus/CAE back to the CAD system (see “Updating geometry parameters in an imported model," Section 60.2). Associative interface plug-ins are available for the following CAD systems: CATIA V6. CATIA V5. SolidWorks.
