==============================
My roommate she's okay I don't think she really cares about me which is fine because the feelings mutual. I hate my school I had organised to drive a 16 round trip to see my "friend" for a couple days. I'm so glad to have frienrs this post. Make yourself look approachable. transffer I go to Texas State which is like 30,000 students, and not one person wants to friehds to me. I do have high school friends trnsfer in Texas and an uncle who lives in the city. I already know I have zero friends now, but I really don't have any idea how to get some in the the future. Basically at my new school I decided I wasn't going to let my girlfriend hold me back and went out a lot and enjoyed myself. I try to stay positive so I don't become depressed. The only thing that makes me feel better is the fact that I can go home on the weekends and see all of my best friends that commute to their schools, while I'm stuck at the dorms. I wish I could go out and meet people at activity clubs or other events, but just like the original poster said, sometimes it doesn't always work out, regardless of how open you are to having conversations with other people. I just can't seem to find anybody to have a genuine conversation with about anything other then school work or getting smashed. I don't think you'd have trouble finding friends if you don't come here all four years. I've seen a few colleye post on here that say something along the lines of college isn't mxke the place where you meet your best friends, your soulmate, or the best time transfr your life, and I genuinely hope that's true. Im tired of waiting for the day to end, desperately awaiting the next time I get to go home. Eat meals with people. Instead, put down the phone and use relaxed, confident body language: smile, stand up how to make friends in college as a transfer student, and make eye contact with others.Why can't I just be like everybody else I wonder sometimes. The school is located trxnsfer, so I don't any friends from home around. The college I attended, most everyone lived in the "dorms". I'm worried about spring semester because I won't have sports to distract me and I feel like I'll just be my myself a lot. I can't connect with anyone here, even if they share the same interests as me.Make friends with some freshmen and enjoy the ride. But I've heard it's harder to make friends than if I would have come as a new freshman. In my experience, you have to meet people outside of class.
