Vincent Pepe who wanted to be a powerful leader of a righteous gang that ruled the city, like his seniors. And then there's the rival clan with the malicious gangsters of Angamaly a locale on which the film is based.
Movie started by showing different views of Angamaly, then there starts the stunt and the annoying and boring stunt continues till the end of the movie. What kind of message they trying to convince? Violence and Laziness, they tried to say the story from friendship point of view, which will mislead our youth to consuming alcohol and marijuana. The censor board should not give permission for films like this. We do not need rape and violence in society we need calm and peaceful society, money can't buy life only love can, which this movie never touches. This movie is waste of precious 2.5 hours of and money. If you wish only watch a movie then go for it, if you want a quality one then don't.
I wasn't fortunate enough to watch the movie in theaters, but was aware of all the rave this was getting from all corners. So the expectations sky-rocketed. This year being not so much a good year for malayalam movies thus far, I was really excited by its success.
The movie boasts food, gang wars, and the angamaly dialect which sinks in smoothly. The ever changing bgm, the songs, the acting; you get an insight into each character and you feel for them. I consider this superior to Lijo's previous works and definitely looking forward to his work in the future.
The 11 minute long climax in a single shot was something I felt was unnecessary, because the build up to it was set up beautifully. Expected a much more high octane finish like the interval punch. But kudos to the crew for trying out something different.
People go to the movies to get entertained, intrigued and this town of Angamaly and its locals does just that.
