The one that comes with Kde starts Akonadi and I don't want that. I think i did how this snippet from the internet suggests to disable akonadi: frankly, I don't want all that information indexed nor do I want to pay the price in disk space I DO NOT want a clock on the desktop (just in the notification area).
i am running a fresh install of kubuntu with kde and kmail all seems to be for some notifications that keep popping up from kmail that I cannot disable, and I am also getting an akonadi notification whenever I reboot saying
