So, in summary, if you have (or want) a pair of HD800s and you need an amplifier to get the most out of them, definitely add the Mainline to your list! Submitted by nunobartolomeu on February 25, 2014 - 2:37am Hello from Portugal, I am wondering if the Philips Fidelio X1 combines perfectly with the Bottlehead Crack OTL, because I have found on Amazon a Philips Fidelio X1 with a lower price than the Sennheiser HD600 and I cant decide wich one is the best buyIf you want to tone your Crack, a RCA 6AS7G paired with the Cleartop 12AU7A is more than enough to give the Crack a musical tonality abeit less technicalities since neither of these two tubes are extremely high on the tube hierarchy If I had to recommend just one of these amps, Id ask if you want warm, musical sound (Crack) or smooth, detailed sound (S.E.X.)After owning many of the TOTL headphones available, I kept finding myself drawn back to the venerable HD600 and HD650 for their combination of comfort and sonic qualities with the music I listen to most oftenI would say the Woo WA3 was a bit more refined sounding but lusher, with the Crack seeming a tad hard in comparison 515b946325
