25 Jul 2013 Last weekend I travelled to Young's Cottages in Ompah on Palmerston Lake for a weekend away to fish (of course). For this trip, my Alumacraft boat 'Ruby' was in tow. Fishing began Without a map for this lake, we relied on sight fishing and searching for ledges using my Humminbird Fishfinder/Sonar.
Palmerston Lake, near Ompah Ontario, is fished primarily for smallmouth bass, lake trout and yellow perch. Map features include water depths and fish locations.
9 Sep 2016 Looking to go try my luck at fishing Palmerston Lake with a buddy in a couple of weeks. maybe next year to book a place to stay on the lake for a weekend of fishing and wanted to scope out the lake to see if it is worth the weekend trip. Bass fishing might be okay but lake trout would be super slow.
