Balancing everyday life as Peter Parker alongside being Spider-Man is a daunting task for The Wall Crawler and it starts taking its toll when Parker encounters a gang of underground thugs selling Chitauri-based weapons for a mysterious villain known as The Vulture.I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Seriously, Homecoming is probably the best rendition of Spidey I've ever seen. It's refreshing to see an actor in the main role who actually looks like he belongs in high school. Excellent pacing, character development, and ambiguous morality. Bravo! This is the Spiderman that deserves to be the rightful member of Avengers.As a movie I would give it an 8/10 but for me personally it's a 9/10. Tom Holland is the best version of Spider-Man/Peter Parker yet. They really do a good job of showing us a Spider- Man that is inexperienced and still learning his new powers but is also very likable and relatable. He's quippy when he needs to be but he also acts like a 15 year old would actually act and makes mistakes sometimes. In the other movies they would usually just show a montage of him learning his powers and he would know things but in this one we are learning with him. As much as I love the older movies I never felt that they were quite able to capture Spiderman correctly. But this movie did. The reason Spiderman is likable is because he is us. He's not a rich Iron Man or a god. Just a regular kid who got superpowers. I felt like this movie really captured that and I can't wait for more movie were we get to see him grow. there were moments were I was really concerned for his safety. That being said there were some changes that this movie made that I liked but I could see others not liking it. One of them being the new suit. I liked it because it seems like something he would get from Iron Man and like I said, Peter is still learning his powers. And I liked That he talked to Karen and gets to unlock new things. Also he can do things without the suit but it's like a bonus. It is different though so I could see why some might not like it I liked that the school is diverse and that's actually what a school would look like. I also didn't mind that Flash was more of an asshole rich kid and not someone who punches Peter or whatever. Usually those are more stereotypical movie bullies I also liked the vulture. He was a menacing villain but at the same time you could see where he's coming from and why he's doing what he does. He's actually similar to Peter in some ways and I really liked that. He wasn't a bland boring villain The only things I didn't like in this movie was I thought that when Peter was stuck in the rumbles he hears Tony's voice AND sees his reflection with the mask. It was a little overdone I could have done without the voice. Also some of the CGI could have used a little more work. My favorite scene was when Spiderman gets defeated by vulture and he is stuck in the rumbles. He cries for help but there is no one there to help him. I felt bad for him and it made me realize that he's only like 15 but has to help himself because there is no one there. It was kinda heartbreaking. Even though that Tony line afterwards was cheesy. Overall I really enjoyed this movie. It was fun and funny with good acting and fun characters. I can't wait to see what's next.Ultimately pleasurable if very disposable, Homecoming offers strong teen dynamics and for once, serves up high school-sized stakes instead of placing the planet in peril.Yes. The film opens with some home movies Peter made about his trip to Berlin. The main villain is "The Vulture" (Michael Keaton). The Vulture is a classic villain from the original Marvel comic books and was originally going to appear in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man 4" before that sequel was scrapped.
